Despite confirming two new COVID-19 cases, Baguio City celebrates the victory of two siblings as they have won the battle against this dreaded disease today, June 16, 2020.

According to the Public Information Office-Baguio (PIO-Baguio), siblings John Delinger Batulan, who is the city’s first participant to the COVID-19 clinical trial, and his brother Jeffrey have recovered from COVID-19 today.

John Delinger Batulan is the 38-year old nurse who works at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC). He previously agreed to be identified because having been on the battlefield since the pandemic erupted, he knows the urgency of contact tracing.

As per the city’s COVID-19 Monitoring Update at 5:00 today, a total of 35 recoveries, 1 death, and 5 active cases have been recorded in Baguio City.
