Baguio City Declares Sunday as “Biking and Scooter Day”

The local government, through the Public Information Office – City of Baguio (PIO-Baguio), announced that Sunday has been declared as “Biking and Scooter Day” in Baguio City.

According to Mayor Benjamin Magalong and City Administrator Bonifacio Dela Peña, this declaration is a way to promote health and wellness, and environmental protection in Baguio City.

Furthermore, this is also meant to introduce an alternative mode of transportation in the city.

Reminders for Joining Biking and Scooter Day

In addition, along with the announcement, here are the following reminders for everyone who will join the Biking and Scooter Day every Sunday.

• Assembly time is 5:30 AM at the City Hall grounds
• Wear comfortable everyday attire and protective gear.
• No need to wear lycra shorts and downhill racing attire.
• Minors are allowed to join but they must be accompanied by an adult.
