Some Areas in Luzon Still on Signal No. 1 Due to Tropical Storm “Pepito”




The center of Tropical Storm “Pepito” was estimated at 210 km West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan at 10:00 AM today (Wednesday), October 21, 2020. Based on the Tropical Cyclone Warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 11:00 AM today, “Pepito” has slightly intensified while moving westward over the West Philippine Sea.

According to PAGASA, Tropical Storm “Pepito” is forecast to:

  • Move generally westward or west-northwestward over the West Philippine Sea today, before slowing down and turning northwestward tomorrow
  • Exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning or afternoon
  • Accelerate and turn westward beginning Friday towards the central portion of Vietnam
  • Gradually intensify over the West Philippine Sea and may reach severe tropical storm category tonight or tomorrow morning

This broadcast is valid until the next advisory which is to be issued by PAGASA at 5:00 PM today.

    • Alaminos City
    • Mabini
    • Burgos
    • Dasol
    • Sual

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.1 and No.2 in other areas are now lifted.

PAGASA encourages those who are in areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.1 to inspect your house if necessary repair or fixing is needed, clean up drainage system, harvest crops that can be yielded, and monitor the latest Severe Weather Bulletin.
