Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio City is Miss Philippines Earth 2020

 
Baguio City representative, Roxanne Allison Baeyens, took home the crown today, July 5, 2020, as she wins Miss Philippines Earth 2020.

Despite the COVID-19 Pandemic, the coronation for Miss Philippines Earth 2020 paved the way for pageants this year as it was conducted virtually on a live telecast on GMA-7 earlier today.

Among the 33 candidates, the top 10 were chosen who moved on for the swimsuit competition, the first round of Q&A, and the evening gown competition.

Among the Top 10, emerged the Top 5 (with their respective winning titles):

• Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens (Baguio City)
• Miss Eco Tourism: Ilyssa Mendoza (Melbourne, Australia)
• Miss Earth Philippines Fire: Shane Tormes (Atimonan, Quezon)
• Miss Philippines Water: GIanna Llanes (Mandaluyong City)
• Miss Philippines Air: Patrixia Santos (Daraga, Albay)

Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens

Aside from winning the Miss Philippines Earth 2020 crown, Roxanne Allison Baeyens also won the Social Media Award.

Baeyens’ winning answer in the pageant contained the importance of urban gardening which is being pushed in Baguio City amid the pandemic and the implementation of community quarantine.

A leader should display having a green thumb because at this point in time we have a shortage in food supply so it’s important to open the eyes of people to embrace having a sustainable life to start urban agriculture at their own homes after all a green life is a better life and I hope the leader will give that to us.

Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Special Awards

Two other special awards were also given during the virtual coronation.

Lyka Lagasca of La-lo, Cagayan won Miss Eco Award while Shane Tormes of Atimonan, Quezon received the Hana Beauty award.
