Baguio City Releases Updated MGCQ Guidelines

With Baguio City under Moderate Risk Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) until July 31, 2020, the City Government of Baguio released an order extending the implementation of the MGCQ guidelines in place, with some modifications.

As per Executive Order No. 111, S. 2020, the prescribed general MGCQ Guidelines (Executive Order 95, S. 2020) that were placed in effect starting June 1, 2020, will continue to be implemented until July 31, 2020, unless said period is shortened by order of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) or the local COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (COVID-19 IATF).

While most of the guidelines will still be implemented, the Executive Order also mentioned the release of advisories modifying some of the guidelines that will be adopted for the said period.

Mass Gatherings

  • From the original 10% maximum capacity for religious gatherings, religious services may now be conducted at a maximum of 25% of the venue capacity, provided, that clearance for such activities has been issued by the Office of the City Mayor.
  • In the original guidelines, non-essential work gatherings were prohibited. Now, work conferences and other essential small gatherings may be conducted at a maximum of 50% of the venue capacity, provided, that minimum health standards and prescribed health protocols are complied with.

Curfew

Baguio City will still adopt the curfew hours of 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM the following morning as per the E.O. 103 Series of 2020.
