Wearing of Face Shields Now Mandatory in Public Market and Other Areas in Baguio City




Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong has signed Executive Order No. 126, series of 2020 ordering the mandatory wearing of face shields in the following areas in the City of Baguio:

  • Public Markets
  • Supermarkets
  • Groceries
  • Malls
  • Shopping Centers
  • Government Offices

In addition, it is stated under the order that for employees, workers, or personnel within the following establishments and offices, they may momentarily remove their face shields where the conduct of their work does not involve person to person interaction with clients, customers, visitors, or co-employees.

No face mask and face shield, No Entry

Under EO No. 126, individuals that will be caught not properly wearing their face masks and face shields should be refused entry into the mentioned establishments and offices.

In addition, violators may be subjected to sanctions as provided in Republic  Act. No. 11332, the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines, and such other laws and Ordinance so applicable.
