Vehicles Engaged in Colorum Operations will Face Penalties







The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board of Cordillera Administrative Region (LTFRB-CAR) has made an announcement earlier today, July 27, 2020, emphasizing that there is no Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) route authorized for inter-regional or transportation.

They are discouraging the public from dealing with or patronizing any person/organization/ group offering transportation for a fee without appropriate documents from the LTFRB-CAR or travel permit from the proper LGU.

According to the LTFRB-CAR, as per IATF resolutions, unauthorized travels of individuals who don’t have proper papers will be dealt with accordingly.

  • PUV operators are directed to secure the necessary Special Permit
  • Operations of public transport shall only be allowed in routes identified and approved by the LTFRB






Joint Administrative Order 2014-001

  • The offering of rides for a fee without the proper documents is considered colorum operations
  • Those who are offering rides for a fee, without the proper documents, will be apprehended and penalized up to PHP 200,000. 00 (for a van)
