Teacher from Baguio City Among the “Most Inspiring Teachers of the Republic of the Philippines 2020”
DepEd Baguio City Schools Division Superintendent Marie Carolyn Verano, CESO V has been selected by The Salceda Youth Lead as one of the Most Inspiring Teachers of the Republic of the Philippines 2020.
According to the DepEd Tayo, Schools Division of Baguio City, the Most Inspiring Teachers awards recognizes the outstanding and inspiring efforts of the teachers who have made a big difference in the lives of their students, parents, communities and even of the nation as a whole.
The theme for this year’s MIT is “Through our teachers we see the future of our country and through their good deeds we prosper as a nation” with the aim to:
- Search for inspiring and committed teachers
- Develop them to be more inspiring teachers who do not only teach but also guide and navigate the learners for:
- Stronger Filipino families
- Safer Filipino communities
- More robust Filipino nation
“There are millions of modern-day heroes that we forget to thank every day for their noble and selfless deeds. In these challenging and difficult times, our teachers are among the many professionals that take the extra mile to serve our communities,” stated in a message signed by President Rodrigo Duterte. “May this event be an opportunity to express our gratitude to them for helping us become the upright, responsible and productive individuals that we are today.”
Verano, together with the other selected teachers from all over the country, will receive a Plaque, Medal and an Award Travel in 2021.
