PFVR and City Hall to Close for Disinfection as 3 Personnel Tests Positive for COVID-19

Based on the latest report and announcement by the City Mayor Benjamin Magalong through the Public Information Office of Baguio City, three personnel of the local government assigned at the PFVR Gym has tested positive for COVID-19.

Closure of PFVR and Suspension of Travel Documents processing

Because of these new cases of COVID-19, the City Mayor has announced that the PFVR Gym where travel documents are being processed will be closed for disinfection and further testing effective August 5, 2020. There were no announcements as to when the processing of travel documents at the PFVR Gym will resume.

City Hall Will Close Too

As a precautionary measure, the local government also opted to close City Hall from August 5, 2020, to August 6, 2020. To ensure continuity of operations a limited workforce will be allowed.

A Call to the Public

While contact tracing is underway, the Mayor has asked the public, specifically those who visited PFVR Gym and City Hall July 29 to present to go on a 14-day self-quarantine and to immediately seek medical attention should you be experiencing symptoms of the disease.
