Northern Blossom Closed due to Suspension of Tourism Activities in Atok

Recently, the Mayor of Atok Benguet has announced the suspension of all tourism activities in Atok Benguet. This is the proactive response of the Mayor of Atok to the 2019-nCoV. According to the announcement made by Northern Blossom management, the most sought after flower farm is going to close their doors starting on February 10, 2020 to tourists and visitors as an effect of the EO 03-2020 released by the Mayor of Atok, the Mayor has declared that tourism activities in Atok are suspended starting February 6, 2020 and there is no definite date as to when this suspension will be lifted.

Just last month, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the mayor of Baguio City, cancelled the opening parade of the Panagbenga 2020 along with other crowd drawing activities for the next 3 weeks. Whether the Grand parades are going to be cancelled or not remains to be determined as of today.

The tourism industry globally has taken the most damage with Billions of Dollars lost, however, the health and safety of the people are at risk, this is why it is just but a fair exchange if stopping any crowd drawing activities and tourism activities would mean the stopping the spread of the virus in the communities.

The Northern Blossom Flower farm ask for the understanding of their patrons, especially those who have booked in advance as this decision to close, although unpopular, is a move in consonance with the goal of the government to prevent the entry and the spread of the dreaded Novel Corona Virus (2019-nCoV).
