More Cases Recorded today in Baguio mostly coming from 2 major clusters

The City of Baguio has recorded 66 new cases, and 12 recoveries today, October 2, 2020 (Friday). This update was posted by the Public Information Office (PIO) of the City of Baguio.

Furthermore, 63 of the new cases listed today were contacts of current cases, two (2) cases were target tested and one (1) was symptomatic. According to the PIO post, the contacts belonging to two of the city’s three major clusters, the Slaughterhouse area and City Camp Central, dominated the batch while the rest came from other smaller groups.

Both areas, along with Lower Lourdes Subd. contributed multiple cases in the past days prompting Mayor Benjie Magalong to place them on a hard lockdown.

According to the daily monitoring of the city, the City of  Baguio has listed a total of 1,043 confirmed cases. 486 cases are still active, 543 have recovered, and 14 fatalities were recorded in the city.
