Miss Philippines Mela Habijan Crowned First Miss Trans Global

Filipina transgender Mela Franco Habijan was crowned as the first-ever Miss Trans Global during a virtual coronation ceremony last Saturday, September 12,2020.

In addition, Habijan also won three Miss Trans Global Award Titles which are “Eloquent Queen of The Year”, “Super Model of The Year”, and  “Glam Beauty of The Year.”

What is Miss Trans Global

According to the official website of Miss Trans Global, it is stated that “Miss Trans Global is an international online pageant for trans & gender nonconforming people from all backgrounds to raise awareness on transgender and LGB issues around the world.”

“The winner of Miss Trans Global will be our spokesperson and work digitally to influence positive changes in our community internationally. They will work closely with activist organisations such as TransValid, TransBeauty Magazine and many more to raise money, educate and inspire transgender people globally,” the website added.
