Highest number of New Cases recorded today in Baguio City
The City Government has logged one of the highest numbers of active cases recorded in one day, today (September 20, 2020). This is according to the monitoring report published by the Public Information Office of Baguio City. There are forty-three (43) new active cases recorded and seven (7) recoveries. In the new active cases recorded, thirty-three (33) are contacts of current cases, two (2) were discovered from expanded testing and eight (8) are Symptomatic.

Of the forty-three new active cases, eleven (11) patients are coming from the Slaughter House area, this brings the total number of cases in that area alone to thirty-eight (38). This prompted the Mayor to impose a hard lockdown in some puroks in the said barangay. Further, a review of the processes implemented in the abattoir is being conducted to correct any gaps in the system, to prevent further spread of the virus. In addition, a hard lockdown was also ordered in the Lagoon area as stated by the Mayor.
With the new cases recorded today the total active cases in Baguio City is now at 176, total recoveries at 376, and the overall total cases in Baguio is at 564.
