Hardware, autoshops, etc. allowed to partially operate in La Trinidad



Mayor Romeo Salda issued an executive order today, April 22, 2020, allowing hardware, auto, electrical shops and/or office supplies stores in La Trinidad, Benguet to partially operate.

According to Executive Order 24, s. of 2020, this step was brought about by the requests of residents. Hence, the Municipal Mayor’s Office forwarded this request to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) which agreed to allow the said establishments to open for the following reasons:

  • preparation for the rainy season
  • house/vehicle repair and maintenance purposes
  • creation of mitigation measures

Guidelines for the partial opening of hardware, auto, electrical shops and/or office supplies stores

  1. Starting April 24, 2020, here’s the schedule to be followed by the said establishments to prevent congestion on roads:
    • Hardware – every Fridays
    • Auto, Electrical Shops and/or Office Supplies and Accessories – every Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  2. Operations must be on skeleton workforce
  3.  Wear facemask and strictly follow social distancing measures
  4. Only those CERTIFIED as in urgent need of house repair/renovation by the Barangay will be allowed to purchase from the hardware.
  5. Any establishment caught violating the abovementioned provisions would be cause for the revocation of their permit to operate.
