Entry of LSIs in Barangay Bayyo, Bontoc Temporarily Suspended

Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey signed Memorandum Order 32 – 2020 ordering the temporary suspension of the entry of Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) from the National Capital Region (NCR) and other places going home to Barangay Bayyo, Bontoc, Mountain Province effective July 6, 2020 until July 20, 2020.

Reasons of the Temporary Suspension of the Entry of LSIs

• The temporary suspension of the entry of LSIs in Barangay Bayyo was issued after the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF) was informed that since the placement of Mountain Province to Modified General Quarantine (MGCQ) there was a sudden influx of LSIs from other places going home to Barangay Bayyo.
• The numbers of LSIs going home to Barangay Bayyo outnumbered the limited number of health personnel in the Municipal Health Office (MHO) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) conducting the health monitoring of LSIs.
• Limited number of Quarantine Facilities identified by the Barangay Government of Bayyo where LSIs must undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine period since most of them came from an area with confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.
