CPA, Other Leftist Groups Persona Non Grata in the Municipality of Sadanga, Mt. Province
Yesterday, June 14, 2020, Mayor Gabino P. Ganggangan has shared with the public the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) Resolution No. 1, Series of 2020, declaring the Cordillera Peoples Alliance (CPA) and other Leftist Groups PERSONA NON GRATA in the Municipality of Sadanga.
The said resolution has been adopted and approved by Mayor Ganggangan last May 18, 2020.
“We the Sadanga People reject any foreign ideology that runs counter to our indigenous culture and ways of life. We therefore make public our decision and stand to reject the CPP-NPA-NDF and all its front organizations. Relative to this decision, we reject and oppose all front organizations such as the CPA and its other leftist affiliate organizations to be identified and published soon.”

He also added, “In behalf of our people/tribemates, we declare them PERSONA NON GRATA!”
Reason Behind Creation of a Resolution Declaring CPA Persona Non Grata in Sadanga
The said resolution reads, “For the past 3 decades now, many of the cordillera youth and college/university students had been recruited/lured to them/their member organizations to regularly participate in their continuous anti Government rallies, marches, demonstrations and many other forms of anti-Government mass mobilizations and later on end up joining the NPA.”
Furthermore, it also stated that, “In the past 3 decades, the CPA has been acting as the defacto propaganda machine and recruitment agency to the NPA thereby posing security problem to their communities.”
Thus, the municipality, under the leadership of Mayor Ganggangan, through the resolution, declare the CPA and other similarly situated/known leftist organization, their officials, workers, and personalities as PERSONA NON GRATA in the municipality.
