Biodegradable Phone Cases that are Made from Plants do Exist!
While protecting your mobile device is usually the main reason why you buy a phone case, the Filipino company Coast PH, came up with a way for people to be able to protect the planet as well whenever they purchase cases for their mobile devices. “Protect more than just your tech,” the company urges.
These days, you can see a smartphone almost wherever you turn head to and those smartphones often needed protection. According to Coast PH, more than one (1) billion plastic phone cases are produced each year. “…which equals to tons of non-biodegradable plastic waste piling up our seas and landfills,” the company stated.
Thus, Coast PH offers phone cases that are 100% biodegradable and compostable. These cases, according to the company, are mostly made from plants such as bamboo and wheat, making it good not just for mobile devices but as well for the planet.

The 100% Coast Biodegradable Phone Cases cost Php 999.00. And other than phone cases, Coast PH also offers biodegradable iPad cases for Php 1,599, biodegradable Airpods cases for Php 599.00, and biodegradable cardholders for Php 449.00.

Moreover, through a collaboration with One Tree Planted, the company has also committed to plant a tree for every phone case that gets sold. “Your purchase of a Coast case will help fund reforestation projects in the Philippines,” they revealed through a statement on their website.
