Barangay Lopez Jaena and Two Puroks of Barangay Poliwes Placed Under Lockdown for Contact Tracing


Mayor Benjamin Magalong issued Memorandum No. 84, Series of 2020 today, June 18, 2020, ordering the implementation of lockdown over Barangay Lopez Jaena and two puroks of Barangay Poliwes.

According to the said memorandum, the city’s COVID-19 Task Force has been informed that two of Baguio’s most recent cases are residents of Barangays Lopez Jaena and Poliwes, respectively.

Thus, for the conduct of contact tracing and to ensure the safety and security of those who may have been in contact with them, Barangay Lopez Jaena and  Purok 2 and 3 of Barangay Poliwes are placed under lockdown starting today until further notice.

What does this mean for the residents of the three barangays under lockdown?

  1. The use of Home Quarantine Pass/Mall & Market Schedule is hereby suspended.
  2. To access basic necessities, residents may proceed to their satellite market or available rolling stores or coordinate with their Barangay Officials.
  3. Exit and entry to the barangays are restricted to APORs and those with medical emergencies.
