After 19 Years, This Baguio Restaurant Bids its Last Farewell

Forest House, a restaurant in Baguio that is known to both locals and tourists alike, will be closing its doors for the last time. This is according to the statement made by the restaurant on their Facebook page.

Serving the Public for 19 Years

For 19 years, this iconic Baguio restaurant served the public with delicious food, coupled with top service and a homey ambiance. They have maintained this quality of fine dining service over the years, which made them deserving of the “Philippines’ Best Restaurant” by Philippine Tatler award.

While the restaurant didn’t elaborate on the reason for their closing, one can only assume that the COVID-19 pandemic that caused the shutting down of tourism in Baguio became a huge factor. Something that many tourism-based businesses share on the reason for downsizing, shutting down, or pivoting into a different and more profitable source of income.

Not All is Lost

If your taste buds are craving for those Forest House cuisines, there is still hope. It seems that upon entering the new normal, the management of Forest House has also adapted by going online and serving the Forest house food through delivery. If you are in Baguio, you can order Forest House food through Raquel’s Cuisine by Forest House. Sure, you will miss the ambiance unique only to the Forest House restaurant.  On the bright side, during this time of the “new normal,” enjoying the food you love at home from the restaurants in Baguio that serve them, is still a blessing.
