5 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded in La Trinidad – Municipal Hall Closed

As a result of the new cases in La Trinidad, the Municipal Mayor of La Trinidad has ordered the lockdown of the following areas:

  • An Area of Sitio Shamolog
  • An Area of Purok 9, Zone 3
  • Valley Bread to Botengan Residence
  • Sitio IC Betag
  • Barangay Hall of Wangal
  • An Area of Sitio Cawa, Wangal
  • An Area of Sitio Cabanao, Balili

The lockdown is effective from 1:00 PM today (June 18, 2020) until further notice.

La Trinidad Municipal Mayor Romeo K. Salda appealed to the public, specifically to those citizens who transacted at the Municipal hall from June 9 until June 17 are directed to undergo 14-days home quarantine. The Municipal Mayor further asked the public that those who exhibits flu-like symptoms should immediately contact their Barangay or their Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) or Call the Municipal COVID 19 Hotline at: 620 5907 or 0998 389 6028.

In an announcement made by La Trinidad Mayor Romeo K. Salda. He stated that there are new cases of COVID-19 patients in the municipality of La Trinidad. There are five (5) new cases in total as of June 17, 2020. Four (4) of these new COVID-19 patients are frontliners. Three (3) of them are Police officers and One (1) Municipal Health Worker. The fifth COVID-19 case is that of a student.

La Trinidad Municipal Hall Closed

It is because of this, that the Mayor has also ordered the Municipal Hall of La Trinidad closed from June 18, 2020, until further notice. This is to implement the disinfection process and to facilitate the contact tracing procedure.

In line with the closing of the Municipal Hall the Mayor, called on employees, volunteers, and clients to refrain from going to the municipal hall starting June 18, 2020.

Observe Basic Safety Health Protocols

The Municipality of La Trinidad reminded its constituents to stay home, stay safe, and stay healthy.

As of the moment, there are no other details released regarding these new cases. We will update as soon as information becomes available.

Here are some of the basic safety health protocols you should remember:

  • Observe Social/Physical Distancing  – keep space between yourself and other people, at a good minimum distance of 6 feet.
  • Practice Regular Handwashing – wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
  • Practice Regular Disinfection – if washing your hands is not possible at the moment, use alcohol or hand sanitizers, every time you touch different surfaces.
