5 Isolation Facilities in Benguet, Ready

Today, April 24, 2020, the Public Information Office – City of Baguio has announced that the local government is ready to accommodate individuals who are recommended to undergo the 14-day quarantine period. This is since these individuals are probable or suspected of having the Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19.

Here are the Five (5) Operational Isolation Facilities in Baguio City:

  1. 28-room Lindi Hotel – for probable Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 patients
  2. Former Sto, Niño Hospital – reserved isolation facility and an exclusive dialysis center for COVID-19 patients
  3. 5-Storey Building Along Marcos Highway, Tuba, Benguet
  4. Baguio Teachers Camp – quarantine area for returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and the drivers who fetched the OFWs from the airport. The local chief executive claimed that the expenses to be encountered will be divided among the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Baguio City, Benguet, and Mountain Province.
  5. Baguio City High School – quarantine area for returning stranded students, workers, and construction workers who are from outside the city after April 30, 2020

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong expressed gratitude to the concerned private sector and government agencies for allowing the use of their facilities as one of the isolation facilities for the increasing probable or suspected COVID-19 cases in the city. The established isolation facilities are in addition to the isolation rooms at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC), Notre Dame Hospital, the Pines City Doctors Hospital, and the Saint Louis University (SLU) Sacred Heart Hospital.
