Zero COVID-19 Cases in La Trinidad As Of April 18, 2020

The Municipality of La Trinidad has tallied zero cases of patients positive for COVID-19 as of the latest data last April 18, 2020, at 5 pm. This marks the 17th day that the Municipality has not recorded any new case of COVID-19 in La Trinidad Benguet.

La Trinidad’s 2 COVID-19 patients have also recently recovered from the disease, this placed the municipality to having zero COVID-19 patients as of 5 PM of April 18, 2020. The same data from the MSHO La Trinidad shows the following:

  • COVID-19 Suspect  – 139 Total – 87 Cleared – 52 Current

  • COVID-19 Possible Case – 1,166 Total – 905 Cleared – 261 Current

Just like Baguio City, the Municipality of La Trinidad is also enforcing social distancing and home quarantine for its residents.

While we see some rays of hope for the Municipality of La Trinidad the numbers don’t mean that we should be complacent. Instead, this is where we all should remain vigilant and observe the mandates of the government. At one point the City of Baguio also recorded zero new cases for several days only to find new cases after. Only after mass testings will we know the extent of the infection in a certain area so, for now, let us all observe social distancing, stay at home orders and proper personal hygiene.
