Work in Public Offices and Classes in the Public and Private Sector in Baguio City, Suspended Today

Mayor Benjamin Magalong has recently issued the Executive Order No. 157, Series of 2020, “an order suspending work in public offices, and classes in the public and private sector, in Baguio City effective 12:00 Noon of 21 October 2020”.

Thus, work in all public offices, and classes in all levels both private and public are suspended in the City of Baguio starting 12:00 Noon today (Wednesday), October 21, 2020.

The city is facing strong winds and heavy downpour of rain brought by the Tropical Storm “Pepito”. And as stated in the EO, in order to safeguard the general welfare of all persons in the city, and to allow workers, employees, and students (if any) to go home early, there is a need to suspend work and classes in Baguio City.
