There is a New Market Errand Schedule for Baguio City

The City Government of Baguio has released a new Public Market Schedule for each District. This new schedule was released 2 days after the effectivity of the Modified General Community Quarantine in Baguio. The new public market schedule will be effective on June 3, 2020.

New Market Schedule Per District

 

DISTRICTS COVERED SCHEDULE (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 MONDAY and THURSDAY
7, 10, 12, 13, 16, 20 and IRISAN Purok 1-18 TUESDAY and FRIDAY
4, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19 and IRISAN Purok 19-28 WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY

It can be noted now that every district will have 12 hours of market time as compared to the previous 6 hours’ time given during the General Community Quarantine.

Is the Home Quarantine Pass Required?

Yes, according to the advisory, those going to the market should bring their Home Quarantine Pass

Places where Home Quarantine Pass is Required:

  1. Baguio City Public Market and Supermarkets
  2. Groceries, Department Stores, Malls and Shopping Centers
  3. Other retail establishment areas with walk-in spaces that can accommodate up to 30 or more people at the same time, including store personnel.

How about for other Errands?

For errands covering transactions in public and private offices/agencies, transactions in establishments not covered in the advisory there is no need for the Home Quarantine Pass however, you have to bring any valid identification card or proof of transaction.

Additional Updated Advisory on Mall and Market Schedule

Effective June 3, 2020, the public is advised to:

  1. Follow designated market schedule per district when going out to buy food and other necessities.
  2. Always bring with you your existing pass used during ECQ/GCQ.
  3. The existing pass will be updated soon into Mall and Market Schedule (M&MS) card by your respective barangays once the materials are available.

Places where the Mall and Market Schedule Card is not required

  1. Pharmacies / Drugstores
  2. Sari-sari Stores
  3. Convenience Stores

Reminders for Market and Mall Establishment Employees/Staff

1. Employees, vendors, workers, receiving staff, security personnel, and roving supervisors are mandated to wear face shields, face masks, and hand gloves while on duty, pursuant to Executive Order No. 93, series of 2020.

2. Managers of covered establishments are strongly reminded to provide hand sanitizers or hand wash basins at their entrances and to place directional markers to guide clients in proper queuing and social distancing protocols.

  1. Can I go to the market or buy foods even if I am 18 yrs. Old this MGCQ?? Can i get the new Home quarantine pass in my barangay ?? Or can i still use the old quarantine pass that is issued in ECQ?? I have a companion here but she is working and do not have knowledge or let’s just say she is not good in buying foods..
