Temperature in Baguio dropped to 11.8°C

When we posted the weather update using the data from PAGASA at 5:00AM we didn’t expect that the temperature will go down further. Today, Monday December 12, 2019 the temperature in Baguio dropped further to 11.8°C. This is due to the Northeast monsoon.

According to PAGASA we expect the temperature to become colder in the coming days. Usually, the temperature in Baguio City drops at the onset of the Northeast Monsoon or “Hanging Amihan” during October and reaches it’s peak during the months of December to February. Sometimes the temperature during those months would drop to single digits the coldest in 2019 was recorded last January 28 at 9.8 °C.

Historically, the lowest temperature recorded in Baguio City was in January 18, 1961 with the temperature of 6.3 °C.
