Sony: PS5 Event on June 4 Postponed


Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation 5 event, which is originally scheduled on June 4, 2020, is postponed.

“While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”

PS5 Event on June 4

Previously in an update published on the PlayStation website, Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan, said that he’s excited to give gamers a first look at PS5 games during the digital showcase which was supposedly scheduled on Thursday, June 4.

Ryan even shared how studios have been working hard to develop games that will showcase the new console’s potential.

In the end, the company decided to postpone the event as they want ‘to allow more important voices to be heard’.
