Seven or Nothing, GOT7 Members to Leave JYP Entertainment

All the members of the K-pop group GOT7 are reportedly leaving JYP Entertainment, the label that has discovered and produced some other popular and successful K-pop artists such as TWICE, DAY6, ITZY, Wonder Girls, and Stray Kids, among others.

As of the moment, there is no tweet yet from the official Twitter account of GOT7 about the news. In fact, one of the account’s latest tweets is about the prized the group has bagged at the Golden Disc Awards.

However, the K-pop news site Soompi cited a story from Korean news outlet Dispatch on January 10, 2021, reporting that the group’s appearance at the 35th Golden Disc Awards is going to be the last activity of the group.

GOT7 is composed of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom. And one of their members, Mark, has recently made a tweet saying “The past 7 years have been the best years of my life. Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end.”

At around 3:30 PM today (Monday), January 11, 2021, the #CongratulationsGOT7 has been among the top trending topics in the Philippines in the social media platform Twitter as fans show their undying support to the group.
