Province of Apayao Records a New Confirmed COVID-19 Case Today




The Province of Apayao records one (1) new confirmed COVID-19 case today (Wednesday), September 9, 2020. This has been reported by the Provincial Government of Apayao earlier this morning through their COVID-19 Task Force Advisory.

New COVID-19 Case in Apayao

The said new case is a 37-year male seafarer, a Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) from Aruba island, and a resident of Poblacion, Luna. The patient is the fifth confirmed and the only active case in the Municipality of Luna.

Currently, he is admitted to the Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center (FNLGHTC).

As of today, there are already thirty-eight (38) confirmed COVID-9 cases in the province. Six (6) of which are active, thirty one (31) have already recovered, and there’s one (1) death recorded.


The public is reminded by the Provincial Government of Apayao to:

  • Stay at home
  • Observe social distancing
  • wear mask
  • Maintain proper hygiene
