Private and Public Cemeteries Closed Starting Today until Nov. 4



The Undas is fast approaching but be reminded that all private and public cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria nationwide are closed starting today (Thursday), October 29, 2020 until November 4, 2020. This is to prevent the possible spread of the virus in such occasions and places when people gather.

“All private and public cemeteries, memorial parks, columbarium, and the like throughout the country shall be closed to visitors from October 29 to November 4, 2020. Provided, that, the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine shall continue to govern burial and cremation activities during the said period.”

“…sa nalalapit na Undas ay inuulit namin na lahat ng mga sementeryo, memorial parks, columbarium sa buong bansa ay isasara sa mga bisita mula October 29 hanggang November 4, 2020,” reminded the presidential spokesperson on October 24, 2020.

President Rodrigo Duterte, on the other hand, said on October 27, 2020 that he is hoping for peaceful observance of the upcoming All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2). “I expect a peaceful celebration of the All Saints’ Day and the All Souls’ Day,” said the President.
