PMA releases health advisory for MADASIGON Class of 2023 Recognition Rites

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has released a health advisory for the conduct of the Recognition Rites for MADASIGON Class of 2023.

The advisory, in line with the Presidential Proclamation No. 922 declaring a State of Public Health Emergency due to COVID-19, states that the Pre-Recognition Rites of the said class on March 13, 2020 will not be open to the public. Hence, even the parents, relatives or friends of the fourthclassmen will not be part of the event.

Recognition Rites Proper

However, on March 14, 2020, the direct dependents of the fourthclassmen will be allowed to enter PMA premises for the Recognition Rites.

Health advisory for attendees

All attendees of the event are required to undergo a medical check at the gates.

  • Guests will be subjected to a thermal scanner at the post school area. And if you have a fever or respiratory symptoms, you will not be allowed to enter PMA.
  • PMA is also encouraging all guests to bring their personal sanitizing kit which includes alcohol-based sanitizers, tissue and/or handkerchief.
  • All are advised to observe cough etiquette and proper hand hygiene at all times.

After the event and being able to talk with the fourthclassmen’s direct dependents, the attendees will have to leave PMA immediately. Moreover, the institution will be closed on March 15, 2020 to the public, including the direct dependents of MADASIGON Class members.

PMA still closed to tourists and the general public

PMA also announced that the institution premises are still closed to visitors until further notice in order to help ensure the safety and health of everyone.
