PLDT and Smart give customers 6 months to settle their accounts in light of ECQ

As the entire Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), a lot of utility companies like PLDT have extended support to their customers by giving them a grace period of at least 30 days to settle payments. However, as the ECQ was extended until April 30, 2020, PLDT and Smart Communications recognized the need to help further by easing the financial crisis that most of us are experiencing. Hence, they have created another program for their postpaid customers.

Starting May 1, 2020, postpaid subscribers of PLDT, Smart and Sun will be able to settle their accounts on a 6-month installment basis.

6-month Installment of Account Settlement

Under this program, customers of the said telecommunications companies can pay their balances as of April 30 in six installments (equal monthly payment) without incurring any penalties and interest.

“We hope that through this payment program, we will help keep you connected whether you are at home, the office or elsewhere after the enhanced community quarantine period. As one community, we will get through these challenging times together.”

  1. What do you mean equal monthly payment?

    1. Magandang Baguio! Your account’s balance will have to be divided into six equal payments.

For example, you have to pay a total of Php 1, 800.00, then you’ll pay Php 300.00 (per month) for 6 months.
