PAGASA Says La Niña may Hit PH by September or October

La Niña is likely to hit the Philippines in September or October according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). This weather pattern begins in the Pacific Ocean and is characterized by more frequent rains than usual.

PAGASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas has recently reported, based on their monitoring, that there’s a sixty percent (60%) chance that our country may experience La Niña by the end of September or October. However, he clarified that this doesn’t mean that the Philippines will immediately experience strong rains.

“Hindi naman po ibig sabihin ay agad-agad makakatanggap ang ating bansa ng malalakas na pag-ulan. Ibig sabihin lang po, mas mataas sa normal. Hindi naman po iyong walang humpay.”

– Ariel Rojas, PAGASA weather forecaster, told ABS-CBN TeleRadyo

The PAGASA weather forecaster also added that the said weather pattern may possibly last until the year 2021.
