Nine COVID-19 Cases Recorded today in Baguio City | 1 Recovery




There are nine new cases recorded today in Baguio City. This is according to the published COVID-19 monitoring report by the City Government of Baguio. According to the report, five (5) of those cases were discovered through the expanded testing, two (2) were labeled as Others which means the testing was done as part of employment, medical procedure or travel, one (1) case was the result of contact tracing and one (1) symptomatic. The city also recorded 1 recovery today.

Data on the Latest Cases:

  • 25 years old – Female – Resident of Loakan Liwanag – a result of expanded testing
  • 38 years old – Female – Residence withheld pending issuance of lockdown order – labeled Others
  • 20 years old – Male – No residence indicated – a result of expanded testing
  • 39 years old – Female – No residence indicated – Symptomatic
  • 57 years old – Male – No residence indicated – a result of expanded testing
  • 24 years old – Male – Holy Ghost Proper – a result of expanded testing
  • 10 years old – Male – No residence indicated – a result of contact tracing
  • 36 years old – Male – Slaughterhouse – a result of expanded testing
  • 25 years old – Male – No residence indicated – labeled Others

According to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the increase in cases is expected and will continue as the expanded testing and contact tracing will continue with the efforts to find other unknown carriers. As such, this will result to the administering of control measures with the hopes of curbing the spread of the virus.
