New OPM Songs that You Might Have Missed

“Bring Out My Best” by Orange & Lemons

The Orange & Lemons, one of the well known Filipino crossover indie pop/alternative rock band, has recently released a new song entitled “Bring Out My Best”. Both the official audio and the official lyric video of the song were published on YouTube just last September 11, 2020.

“We hope this track will brighten up your day amidst the woes of the ongoing pandemic,” said the band on a Facebook post announcing their latest masterpiece. Apart from YouTube, this single can also be found on Spotify and Apple Music.

“Takbo ng Panahon” by Zild

Zild Benenitez, Known as the singer/songwriter/bassist of one of the most well-known band in the Philippines these days, the IV of Spades, has also just released a new song called the “Takbo ng Panahon”.

The official music video of the song premiered on YouTube on Saturday, October 3, 2020. The video, according to Zild, was shoot via zoom and is directed by Shaira Luna and edited by Lance Von Luna.

Other than “Takbo ng Panahon”, a few months ago Zild has also released other titles with animated music videos such as “Alalahanin”, “Mapagpanggap”, “Iiwanan ng lahat”, “Agaw-dilim”, and more.

BLESS Ü by Juan Karlos

If you played the songs “Buwan” and “Demonyo” before for countless of times, then you might also want to hear one of the latest songs from the same artists who brought those titles to life.

The Voice Kids Philippines alumnus, JK Labajo and his band Juan Karlos has released another song just last month, entitled “BLESS Ü”. The official music video for this song was published on YouTube on September 4, 2020. If you are currently going through tough challenges in life, this song might just be able to reach you.

“Pagsisisi” by Bandang Lapis

Although the official lyric video for the song “Pagsisisi” by the Bandang Lapis, a band aspiring to make a name in the OPM industry with its own song compositions, has been released on June 12, 2020, the Filipino band has just recently released its official music video. The video premiered just on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

“Pagsisihan na natin ang ating mga nagawang mga kasalanan sa ating mundong ginagalawan dahil darating ang panahon kung saan magkakaron ng katapusan ang lahat,” said the band.

Lampas Hatinggabi by MARILAG

On September 16, 2020, a lyric video of the song called “Lampas Hatinggabi” has premiered on YouTube. The people behind this OPM song are the crowd-funded, fully independent label Marilag Records and Productions, Benny Manaligod from the band The Ridleys, and Josh Tumaliuan and Jolo Ferrer from the band Munimuni.
