New cases, recoveries and a fatality logged in Baguio City Today

With the intensified contact tracing efforts of the city government of Baguio, 65 new cases were uncovered. Fifty-nine (59) of those who tested positive was the result of contact tracing. three (3) of the new cases came from the expanded testing efforts and the other three (3) were symptomatic. These new cases bring the total number of active cases to 589 and the total cases for Baguio City to 1,704.

New Fatality Recorded

The City also logged another fatality today. The patient was a 77-year-old female who reportedly had a fever and cough for one week. When her fever and cough persisted along with difficulty in breathing, she sought medical attention last October 16, 2020. She was tested and it yielded a positive result. She died on October 19, 2020. This latest fatality brings the total number of deaths due to the virus to 21.

Baguio City also recorded 21 new recoveries today which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,094.
