Natonin, Mt. Province Recorded First COVID-19 Case Yesterday






In a post shared by Mountain Province DRRM Office Facebook page yesterday, July 19, 2020, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Mountain Province reported the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the Municipality of Natonin.

Although according to the Advisory No. 11 which was released yesterday, July 19, 2020, by Natonin Mayor Jose Agagon, the case is officially included in the census of the National Capital Region (NCR) as patient PH 51953

Details of the First COVID-19 Case of Natonin, Mt. Province

Here are the following information on the COVID-19 case in Natonin, Mt. Province.

  • The patient is a 51-year-old male Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who returned from Saudi Arabia.
  • The patient arrived in the Philippines last June 26, 2020 and was swab tested by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). His test result was released on the same day and he was comfirmed positive for COVID-19.
  • On July 3,2020, the patient was transferred to a hotel in Malate where re-swabbing was done with no test result released yet. On the same day, the patient was taken to the Philippine Arena Quarantine Facility in Bulacan and was isolated for 14 days.
  • On July 14, 2020, OWWA released a health clearance for the patient classifying him as a COVID-19 Recovered Confirmed Case after completing the mandatory two-week quarantine and he did not exhibit any of the signs and symptoms of the disease. And, OWWA recommended for his release and pick-up.
  • The patient was fetched by the LGU of Natonin and he arrived in the Municipality of Natonin on July 14, 2020 and was brought directly to the Isolation Facility.
  • On July 16, 2020, the patient was tested again through RT-PCR. His test result was released yesterday, July 19, 2020, and he is positive for COVID-19.
  • The new case is asymptomatic and in a stable condition.






Lockdown Order

In the advisory released by Natonin Mayor Agagon yesterday, Barangay Poblacion of Natonin will be on lockdown until further notice for contact tracing purposes.
