NASA: A “Near Earth Object” will Pass our Planet this October

According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), a NEO called the 2020 SX3 will pass the Earth at 4.4 lunar distances on Thursday morning, October 8, 2020, at around 7:16 AM EDT.

But what does NEO means? Near Earth Objects or simply called NEOs, as defined by NASA, are comets and asteroids that have been nudged by the gravitational attraction of nearby planets into orbits, thus allowing them to enter our planet’s neighborhood.

This NEO is between thirty-eight (38) and eighty-six (86) meters or one hundred and twenty-six (126) to two hundred and eighty-two (282) feet in size and will be traveling at 10.88 kilometers per second or 24,340 miles per hour.
