MURANG GULAY SA MAMAMAYAN NG BAGUIO CITY Program Halted

The Public Information Office -City of Baguio published today, April 29, 2020, a message from Coun. Joel Alangsab, informing the public that the  “SAMPONG PISO PARA SA FARMERS AT MURANG GULAY SA MAMAMAYAN NG BAGUIO CITY” will no longer run on this coming Friday (May 1, 2020) and Saturday (May 2, 2020)

According to Coun. Joel Alangsab, this is in view of the posted advisory issued by Vice Governor Johnny Waguis. Based on the said advisory, the Wangal Operation for the project had already been closed for COVID-19 precautionary measures. This is due to the rise in the number of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 cases as well as the stability of prices of vegetables, which means that the Ten Pesos (10.00 PHP) per kilo is no longer applicable.

The Councilor has also stated his gratitude to everyone who made the project possible.

“Big thanks to everyone who made this joint project possible most so with Mayor Benjie Magalong.” – Coun. Joel Alangsab
