Medical Assistance Extended to Low Income and Indigents of Baguio City, Here are the Requirements




The City Mayor’s Office has received one million pesos (P1,000,000.00) of medical assistance which is to be extended to the low-income and indigent residents of Baguio City.

“On behalf of the City of Baguio, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Senator Risa Hontiveros for the P1,000,000.00 medical assistance…” stated the City Mayor’s Office today (Thursday), January 7, 2021. “This will cause a big difference to many lives.”




Who May Avail of the Medical Assistance

According to the City Mayor’s Office, the said medical assistance is available to:

  • Qualified patients of Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) only



What are the Requirements

Those who would like to avail of the assistance are required to submit the following requirements to the City Mayor’s Office during office hours:

  1. Originally signed Certificate of Indigency/Low-income from your Barangay
  2. Valid Identification Card
  3. Medical Abstract/Certificate
  4. BGHMC Billing statement/Charge Slip and Doctor’s prescription

Other Details to Take Note Of

  • The City Mayor’s Office’s office hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • The Medical Certificates issued by the BGHMC is FREE of charge
