Mayor Magalong Orders Lockdown Over Six Barangays in Baguio City






To facilitate contact tracing regarding some of the fourteen (14) new COVID-19 cases that were recorded in the City of Baguio today, the office of the City Mayor has issued a lockdown order on six (6) barangays effective today, July 25, 2020, until further notice.

Barangays under Lockdown

The following barangays in Baguio City will be placed on lockdown:

  • Barangay Brookside
  • Barangay Engineer’s Hill
  • Barangay Lopez Jaena
  • Barangay New Lucban
  • Barangay MRR-Queen of Peace
  • Barangay Trancoville

As per Memorandum No. 129, series of 2020, The purpose of the lockdown is to facilitate contact tracing and disinfection of the area. This is also to ensure the safety and security of the residents who may have come in contact with the patients.

As a result of the lockdown, the following will be implemented:

  • Home Quarantine Pass / Mall and Market Schedule Cards are suspended
  • Residents may access basic needs through the barangay satellite market or available rolling stores or they could coordinate with their barangay officials.
  • Exit and Entry to these areas are restricted to APOR’s and those with medical emergencies.
