Mayor Magalong Orders Immediate Lockdown Over Two Barangays for Contact Tracing


Mayor Benjamin Magalong has ordered to immediately place Barangays Fairview and Holyghost Extension under lockdown after recording two additional cases in Baguio City.

According to Memorandum No. 111, series of 2020, the two barangays have to be placed under lockdown for contact tracing purposes and to ensure the security of those who residents who may have been in contact with the two new COVID-19 cases.

Thus, Barangays Fairview and Holyghost Extension are placed under lockdown effective today, July 13, 2020 until further notice.

What does this mean for the residents of the two barangays under lockdown?

  1. The use of Home Quarantine Pass/Mall & Market Schedule is hereby suspended.
  2. To access basic necessities, residents may proceed to their satellite market or available rolling stores or coordinate with their Barangay Officials.
  3. Exit and entry to the barangays are restricted to APORs and those with medical emergencies.

Active COVID-19 Cases in Baguio

As of today, based on Baguio City’s COVID-19 Case Tracker, there are already 53 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Baguio.

Seven (7) are active cases, forty-four (44) are recoveries, and two (2) deaths.
