In line with the declaration of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) among the entire Luzon, a lot of establishments needed to temporarily close in response to the guidelines. However, essential establishments that provide basic necessities and activities related to food and medicine production will remain to be open for the duration of the quarantine.

Here are establishments that have made announcements regarding their operations and schedule.

Malls

Abanao Square

Abanao Square announced that the mall will be closed starting today until further notice. However, businesses in the mall that provide basic services such as the following will remain open to serve the public:

Baguio Center Mall

Baguio Center Mall is temporarily closed starting March 17, 2020 except for the following establishments in it:

Banco de Oro, more popularly known as BDO, announced that a selection of its branches in Metro Manila and Luzon will be open with shortened banking hours starting today until further notice.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is offering a 30-day grace period for its qualified clients who need to pay for any of the following loans:

• personal loan
• home loan
• auto loan
• SME loan

BPI said that qualified clients will receive a notification regarding this advisory via email.

The following branches in Baguio City and La Trinidad will remain open from 9 AM to 3 PM during the ECQ period to provide basic banking services to its clients.

Chinabank

China Bank select branches in Luzon will be open for deposit and withdrawal transactions ONLY from 9 AM to 3 PM.

• 30-day payment extension for its consumer loan customers who have good credit standing.
• 30-day payment extension for auto and housing loans due from March 15 to April 15, 2020, without late fees.

China Bank is encouraging its clients to use its online platforms to help minimize the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 and for their convenience.

Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP)

Development Bank of the Philippines Baguio branch will remain open on compressed banking hours.

• DBP’s e-banking channels, including 837 automated teller machines, remain available

EastWest Bank

EastWest Bank branches in Metro Manila and Luzon will implement shortened banking hours up to 3 PM.

On the other hand, EastWest encourages its customers to use the bank’s digital platforms to access their accounts without the need to leave their homes. Moreover, their Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) will still be in operation.

Land Bank of the Philippines

Starting today, March 18, 2020, Land Bank select branches in Luzon are open to serve its clients from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Land Bank also announced that clients can still access their accounts through its Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and e-channels.

Maybank

Maybank is giving a 30-day extension period for credit card, auto loan, mortgage, personal loan, and salary loan to qualified clients with due dates from March 12 to April 15, 2020. Qualified clients will be notified via SMS or email.

For areas affected by the ECQ, banking hours will be from 9 AM to 3 PM. But for areas with local government or Banker’s Association mandates, adjustments will be made accordingly.

• Branches will allow a limited number of customers to enter in order to avoid crowding.

Metrobank is also encouraging its clients to make use of its e-channels for their convenience.

St. Joseph Drug

St. Joseph Drug announced that its branches will remain open and that they offer pick up services for customers’ convenience.

For the pick-up service, here are the steps you have to follow:

1. Call in your order.
2. Indicate the date and time of pick up.

In line with the ECQ guidelines and curfew, M Lhuiller branches in Luzon will remain to be open. Moreover, branches that operate 24/7 and extended hours nationwide will now be open until 7 PM only until further notice.

Palawan Express

Palawan Express announced that as Luzon is placed under ECQ, their branches in the rest of Mainland Luzon, including Baguio City, will be open until 5 PM.

Customers are advised to wait for further announcements as the schedule may change in the days to come.

USSC Super Service Stores

USSC Super Service Stores branches in Baguio City remain to be open EXCEPT for Center Mall branch.

Due to the enhanced community quarantine, C & Triple A announced that its store hours starting today until further notice will be from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Restaurants

CHAYA

With a minimum purchase amounting to Php 500.00, Chaya is offering food delivery services with fees ranging from Php 100.00 to Php 150.00 depending on your location.

NOTE: For single orders amounting to Php 2000.00 and above, delivery will be free of charge.
