[UPDATE] La Trinidad Records Two New COVID-19 Cases
The Municipality of La Trinidad reported two (2) new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, July 7, 2020.
Two New COVID-19 Cases in La Trinidad
27-year-old male vendor from Wangal, La Trinidad
According to an update from the Public Information Office- Benguet (PIO-Benguet), this newly added COVID-19 case of La Trinidad is a resident of the Municipality of Kabayan.
The said patient was not reflected as a case of Kabayan after verification and contact-tracing confirmed that the patient has not gone home to Kabayan for a year.
Furthermore, according to the Department of Health (DOH), the final basis for reporting COVID-19 cases will be based on the current address, especially for mobile population.
Thus, the 27-year-old patient who was swabbed and tested positive in Wangal will be recorded as 22nd COVID-19 case of La Trinidad. With this clarification, the Municipality of Kabayan remains with zero COVID-19 cases.
33-year-old male PNP Personnel from Alapang
The other new case recorded in La Trinidad, Benguet is the 33-year-old male who is a Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel assigned at Camp Dangwa.
These two new cases in La Trinidad are now in a stable condition and currently admitted at Benguet General Hospital (BeGH).
COVID-19 Cases in La Trinidad
Furthermore, according to La Trinidad’s COVID-19 Update today, July 8, 2020, the municipality has five (5) active COVID-19 cases who are all in a stable condition.
A total of twenty-two (22) confirmed COVID-cases have been recorded in La Trinidad, Benguet, with seventeen (17) recoveries.
The Public is reminded to always observe the basic health and safety protocols.
