Five new COVID-19 Cases and 2 Recoveries recorded today in Baguio City



The City Government of Baguio logged five (5) new COVID-19 cases today. The monitoring report also indicated that there are two COVID-19 patients who recovered from the disease.

The COVID-19 cases today were discovered due to Contact Tracing, Expanded testing and symptomatic walk-in patients. Here are the details on those five cases as indicated by the COVID-19 monitoring report by the City Government of Baguio.

  • 29 years old  – Female – Loakan Proper – Tested at Parkway as part of the Expanded Testing
  • 79 years old – Female – Balacbac – Symptomatic and tested at Parkway
  • 50 years old – Female – St. Joseph Village – Tested at BGHMC (Close Contact of a Patient)
  • 42 years old – Female – No residence indicated – Tested at BGHMC (Close Contact of a Patient)
  • 50 years old – Male (a Contractor) – Tested at BGHMC (Symptomatic)

The five new COVID-19 cases recorded today bring the total active patients to 83 and the total number of COVID-19 cases in the city to 374. The two recoveries increased the total number of recoveries to 281.

While Baguio recorded zero COVID-19 cases yesterday (September 5, 2020) these new cases only proves that the virus is still out there. Therefore utmost care and strict observance of the minimum health and safety protocols is expected from everyone.
