Filipino Chocolate Brand Receives 5 Gold Medals in 2020 Asia-Pacific Bean-to-Bar and Chocolatier Competition




A chocolate brand from the Philippines, Auro Chocolate, is among the winners of the Asia-Pacific Bean-to-Bar and Chocolatier Competition 2020 by the International Chocolate Awards. The winners of the said competition were revealed just recently on October 9, 2020.

Auro Chocolate is the overall winner and dubbed as the “Best In Competition” for the Plain/origin milk bar category for their 50% Regalo – Single Varietal – Milk Chocolate, beating the Japanese brand called Meiji.


Other than this award, the brand also bagged four (4) more gold medals from the competition. Here are all the awards received by the Auro from the Asia-Pacific Bean-to-Bar and Chocolatier Competition 2020:

  • GOLD for “Best in Competition” and Overall Winner for Plain/Origin Milk Chocolate Bar
  • GOLD for Plain/Origin Milk Chocolate Bars
  • GOLD for Chocolate Maker
  • GOLD for Growing Country
  • GOLD for Direct Traded

“What a true privilege it is to do what we love. It is always our goal to keep learning and improving so that we may keep pushing quality Filipino-made chocolate forward to represent on the world stage,” stated Auro Chocolate in an Instagram post posted on October 15, 2020.

Since its launch in the year 2017, Auro Chocolate has already collected several international awards. With the passion to showcase the unique flavors found in Philippine cacao, the brand has been globally recognized by award-giving bodies including the International Chocolate Awards.
