EIGASAI 2016: Japanese Film Festival Comes to Baguio City

 

The Japanese Film Festival, also known as EIGASAI, comes to the city of pine-sifted sunshine Baguio City for the first time to showcase a variety of cinematic glee with drama, anime, mystery, feature, and romance films. 2016 is a special year for the Philippines’ and Japan’s friendship, marking its 60th year of diplomatic relations with each other.

Eigasai 2016 Baguio City Launch

The first Eigasai in Baguio City will have an opening reception on August 11, 2016 at the Cinema of SM CIty Baguio from 5:30 PM. After that, the film viewing of 12 beautiful cinematic beauties at 7:00 PM, will be opened to the people of Baguio to know more about Japan.

These 12 award-winning films will be screened at SM City Baguio Cinema and the FDCP Cinematheque Baguio from August 22 to August 21, 2016. The schedule of films are arranged in such a way that it is possible to watch them all. Below is the schedule of films you can watch. ADMISSION IS FREE on first come- first serve basis.

* NEWLY ADDED SCHEDULE: Crossroads will also be shown at Cinematheque Baguio on August 16, 17, 20, and 21 5:30 PM.
