Cordillera to Experience Cloudy Skies with Scattered Rains due to LPA



The Cordillera Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms today, February 23, 2021 (Tuesday), due to the Low Pressure Area (LPA), according to PAGASA.

In the weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued today, the LPA Auring was estimated based on all available data at 105 km East of Infanta, Quezon (14.9°N, 122.6°E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon at 3:00 AM.


Forecast Weather Conditions

The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm in the following areas:

  • Metro Manila
  • Cordillera Administrative Region
  • MIMAROPA
  • Central Luzon
  • CALABARZON
  • Cagayan
  • Isabela
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Quirino
  • Camarines Norte


And, PAGASA stated that possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced in these places due to the Northeast Monsoon:

  • Ilocos Region
  • Rest of Cagayan Valley

Furthermore, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms. Also, possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
