Computer Shops Resume Operations in La Trinidad Benguet under MGCQ


Computer shops in the Municipality of La Trinidad can resume operations starting today, June 18, 2020, but must comply with the guidelines provided under Executive Order No. 44, Series of 2020 issued by Mayor Romeo Salda.

Guidelines for the Operation of Computer Shops in La Trinidad, Benguet

According to EO No. 44, s. of 2020, there is a need to allow computer shops to resume operations as the internet has become an indispensable medium of communication which gives people easy access to relevant and timely information.

Thus, under the same executive order, the following guidelines have been provided for the operation of the said establishments in order to prevent the rise of COVID-19 transmission in their premises:

Minimum Health Standards must be strictly observed

  • Physical distancing between patrons.
    • At least 1 meter or 3 feet
  • Facemasks must be worn at all times.
  • Wash area installed at the entrance plus Alcohol /Hand Sanitizer at the counter
  • Thermal scanning must be done before entry.
    • If temperature is at 37.6 and above immediately call COVID-19 Hotline – 09399900789. Don’t let the customer go home.
  • Doormat must be treated with disinfectant.
  • Fill out Logbook before entering.
    • Name, Address, Temperature, Contact Number
  • 21 years old and below, 60 years and above, those with comorbidity, immunodeficiency, pregnant women, and other health risks will not be allowed entry
  • No wearing of slippers and “sando
  • Disinfection will immediately follow after every use of the computer unit.
  • Plastic barriers should be installed at the cashier/counter area.
  • The area must be properly ventilated.
  • Limitation of services
    • Research
    • Encoding
    • Printing
    • Photocopying and other related services
    • Strictly no e-gaming and network games
    • No bystanders inside


Operating Hours 

As stated under EO No. 44, computer shops in La Trinidad are allowed to operate Monday to Saturday ONLY, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

In addition, it mentioned that all computer shops will be closed during Sundays for further disinfection.

Those who will fail to comply with prescribed operating hours will be reported to the concerned barangay.

“One-Strike” Policy

Furthermore, computer shops that will fail to comply with the guidelines stated in this executive, ordinances, and other laws will cause automatic revocation of the business permit.
