COMELEC Releases 2022 Elections Calendar of Activities
The Commission on Election (COMELEC) has released the calendar of activities for the 2022 Philippine National and Local Elections that will take place on May 9, 2022.
Resolution No. 10695 or “In the Matter of Prescribing the Calendar of Activities and Periods of Certain Prohibited Acts in Connection with the May 09, 2022 National and Local Election” was promulgated last February 10, 2022.
According to the calendar, from October 1-8, 2021, it will be the filing of Certificates of Candidacy for all elective positions and Filing of Certification of Nomination and Acceptance.

Here is the calendar of activities and periods of prohibited acts for the May 9, 2022 national and local elections:
Also, COMELEC has announced yesterday that the office has extended the voter registration hours.
As stated by COMELEC, starting today, February 15, 2021 (Monday), “All Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) nationwide will be open to receive applications for voter registration from Tuesdays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.”
Furthermore, according to COMELEC, designated disinfection day will be moved from Fridays to Mondays.
“However, if the local government unit (LGU) prescribes another day for disinfection and such is within the workweek, the OEOs shall observe the LGU disinfection day on top of Monday Disinfection Day,” COMELEC added.
