Modern calligraphy is becoming big in the city of Pines and for us enthusiasts, an avenue to learn is always a must go. Good news is, National Book Store, in partnership with SM City of Baguio, brings the Color and Calligraphy Fair, to the city for us to learn and have fun for the weekend.
The fair has an exciting lineup of activities for everyone. You can participate in FREE workshops and demos- let by talented artists such as Abbey Sy, Lilian Kate Austin, and Cristine Chan among others- and learn about different topics. Besides calligraphy, there’s also watercoloring, painting, coloring, craft making, journaling, and many others. You don’t have to worry about bringing materials because there are tables set with papers, brush pens, and markers you can use for a more hands-on learning. All you have to do is enjoy the workshops that has piqued your interest. There is also a Live Mural Art by Miss Jona Villaganas and murals that can be colored by participants.
In addition to the workshops, the Color and Calligraphy Fair also brings in brands that sells products that can help us in practicing art. Some of the participating brands include Blackwing, Caran d’Ache, Chameloen, Dong-A, Evo, Faber-Castell, Grumbacher, International Arrivals, Limelight, Manuscript, Marvy Uchida, Online, PanPastel, Prismacolor, Sakura, Sennelier, Sharpie, Sheaffer, Speedball, and Uni.
